For those of you who have worn an uncomfortable bra, I’m sure as soon as you are home, "The first thing you do is take off your bra."

Eight hours is a lot to take before the Underwire grows unbearable. However, there is salvation for us and it’s called Wickwire: a Bra with underwire covered in a constant piece of material without a single tag, stitch or seam. Up until now, it's been hard to find bras that fit for most women.

The Secret Embrace bra by Victoria's Secret, costing around $42 to $44, is among a new breed of bra’s flooding the market with an enormous array of features - from odor protection to seamless silhouettes.

Gone are the days of chaffing, ill fitting, neck breaking bras. Technology has allowed today’s bras to feature underwire that supports without constricting. Bras that have protection from odor and wetness and even bra’s that have memory!

About five years ago, the introduction of lighter-weight materials, really launched the bra revolution into the stratosphere. Manufacturers have started investing years of research and testing into new designs to meet the increasing demands for comfort and durability.

With this new vested interest, manufacturers have managed increase sales by nearly 6 percent from 2004 to 2005 to reach $5.1 billion, according to a market research firm.

Last year on average, women bought four to five bras, spending $77.

Another innovative bra to hit the market is the iBra by Wacoal its boasted as being the first fully seamless, stitchless, tagless bra and is the best-selling bras at Macy's stores in Atlanta, costing around $50.

Victoria's Secret's launched it’s "IPEX technology" last year. Their IPEX technology refers to the contoured pad in the bra cup, which is thinner on the outside and slightly thicker in the middle to provide coverage and support without padding.

They spent two years developing this bra, and created new machines especially to make this bra. The bra costs around $42. At Le Mystere, they have incorporates memory foam, a material known for its use in mattresses and pillows, for the $75 lacy Francesca bra, which has been winning celebrity raves.

The memory foam is heat sensitive so the temperature of your body helps it conform to the shape of your breast, quite ingenious! So the bra stops feeling like a bra and almost melts into the flesh.

True Match by Lily of France also uses this modern technology of memory foam. Costing around $29, the bra is available at retailers such as J.C. Penney and Kohl's and is a worthy alternative to the costly high-end, high-tech bras.
